The Sea of Monsters/The Titans Curse characters-
The main character in this book is Perseus Jackson, the son of the sea God Poseidon. He is a half-blood, which means he has one mortal parent and one parent is a God. He looks like any other normal kid, just he isn't normal. In The Lightning Thief, Poseidon gave him the ballpoint pen that can transform into the celestial bronze sword Anaklusmos, also known as Riptide. That is the same sword Hercules used against the dragon Ladon. Percy is dyslexic and has ADHD, like all half-bloods. He isn't as rude or cocky as some of the other half-bloods in these books. Percy has managed to get kicked out of every school he goes to, and wherever he goes he manages to get into trouble with monsters.

Then there is Grover, Percy's best friend who is a satyr. A satyr is a woodland creature which has pointed ears, hairy legs, and short horns, like a goat man. He is the satyr who found Percy and helped him get to Camp Half-Blood. Grover is easily scarred but still thinks he will find the God Pan. He, like all satyrs have a reed pipe, which if you play music in it the pipe will cause different spells depending on the tune.

There is also Annabeth, who is the daughter of Athena. She has curly blonde hair, and her eyes are gray. She is very wise, most likely because Athena is the Goddess of wisdom. In the future she wants to be an architect and design something that will last thousands of years. She was at Camp Half-Blood very early in her life, and spent most of it there. She has a magic cap that allows the wearer to become invisible. Oh yeah, and like Pery and the other half-bloods she is dyslexic and has ADHD.

There are tons more characters I'd love to tell you about, but then again "TeacherLady" said only to blog about two, but I did three. Most characters in this book are directly described, but some are described through actions.

  1. Three character, huh? You are an over-achiever, cooldisplayname. You have very clear, thorough descriptions of your characters. They make me want to read this series. Nice job.
