Description of book(s)

The Sea of Monsters-Well since the beginning to the end this book is mainly about how Grover gets caught by Polyphemus, and Polyphemus takes Grover back to his island. His island looks very beautiful, and looks like a paradise due to the magic of the golden fleece. Yes, it is the same Polyphemus as in The Odyssey. In the beginning, there is a dodge ball game going down, but on the team opposite of Percy are some cannibal giants. They are saved by Tyson, who later you will find out he is Percy's brother and a cyclops. Sooner or later, depending on how fast you read the books, Percy will be receiving some gifts from the messenger God Hermes. Then Percy, Annabeth, and Tyson will ride some hippocampi to the ship Princess Andromeda, Luke's ship. During their time on Luke's ship they figure out that Luke also knows the coordinates to the golden fleece, and that he has a spy in Camp Half Blood.A while after they get off Princess Andromeda, they get saved from a hydra by Clarisse, who is the daughter of the war God, Ares. They travel in Clarisse's ship toward The Sea of Monsters. Unfortunately, there is only one way to get into the sea of monsters, which is straight through Charybdis and her sister Scylla. Well of course, if you try to take the two sisters on your ship it will most likely be destroyed, of course Clarisse's ship, the CSS Birmingham was destroyed. The "living" people on it got in lifeboats, all but Tyson and Percy(who was falling into the water because Scylla tried to bring him up to her, you'll understand when you read the book). In the end though Percy, Annabeth, Grover, Clarisse, and Tyson all meet up on Polyphemus' island. I thought this was one of the best,and funniest parts of the book. When fighting Polyphemus, and Polyphemus says, "Who said that?" Then Annabeth replied when she was invisible, "Nobody." That got Polyphemus really angry, because that was the name Odysseus used before he poked Polyphemus' eye with a large hot stick. After the fighting, and they return to camp, with an unexpected intrusion from Luke, they put the golden fleece on Thalias tree. In a few days the magic barriers were stronger than ever, and Camp Half Blood looked better than ever. Then Grover came pounding on the Poseidon's cabin door, and Chiron gave Percy a ride up to Thalias tree. To everyones suprise there was a person that was lying by the tree, and by Annabeth. When Percy asked her what her name was she replied... "I'm Thalia, daughter of Zeus."

1)Does Polyphemus actually die? or does he only go to the depths of Tartarus for the next thousand years?
2)Why did Odysseus stab Polyphemus' eye in the first place?
3)Is there really a place called The Sea of Monsters?
